Between NXT Takeover: Brooklyn and Summerslam, it was one awesome weekend for WWE that saw new champions, incredible action, and even a title unification. We also see some more development on the Vaudevillains/Alexa Bliss front – not to mention potentially more matches for Takeover! Banks has lived up to her “boss” moniker in her rivalry with Bayley, but this could be building toward a feel-good ending.

If the NXT Championship bout wasn’t a Ladder Match, it would be awesome for this to close out the show. The crowd at Full Sail has not been a fan of Corbin, and Joe will be a fan favorite in Brooklyn.
That venue looks great and the crowd is ready. Hard-hitting moves in and out of the ring, throwbacks to their days outside the WWE, and a big spot off the ladder a la Shawn Michaels. Afterwards The Vaudevillains appear on the stage. “But I think that night in Tokyo, maybe when I’m 50 or 60 and looking back on life… that will be one of the most memorable nights of my career”.
And never was the experience more unbelievable than on July 4, when Balor returned to Tokyo, where he made a name for himself as “Prince Devitt”, and captured the NXT title from Owens in a special event that aired exclusively on the WWE Network. The second is a singles bout, pitting Eva Marie against Carmella.
Prince Pretty gets a chance to take out another Japanese star when he faces the veteran this Saturday, and he emphasized that point on this week’s episode of NXT when he put a Liger mask on his opponent and delivered a Beauty Shot. What it does for me that’s awesome is every time we jump a new hurdle, whether it’s ticket sales or merchandise sales or interest from an outside group or whatever it is, it’s just another hurdle we jump internally in the company to say this is its own brand. Bayley cut another great promo. And it works so well because Bayley and Sasha have always had a lengthy animosity between them; they’ve faced each other multiple times and more than any other combination of NXT Divas. I also want to draw attention to how brilliantly Sasha worked the crowd. On top of that she effortlessly plays the audience. I love Simon Gotch’s expressions here.
Then add in the fact that this was not only the best match of the night, but easily slots into a Match of the Year list.
Outcomes stay predetermined, however the ardour that has constructed for the NXT ladies is as real and natural because it will get. They showed off four fingers as an homage to their nickname of the Four Horsewomen. If not, then who do you think will win these matches and why? What we learned: New champions! This was the time for WWE to show the world that they mean business when it comes to how they are going to promote their women.
