Salah spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, whose president Andrea Della Valle said on Wednesday he was “optimistic” of agreeing a deal to keep him at the club for another year.
Chelsea have offered Barcelona and a number of Serie A clubs the possibility to sign Juan Cuadrado after the Colombia worldwide failed to convince manager Jose Mourinho he deserves a place in his ranks during his first months in London, as stated by Spanish newspaper Sport.
“Salah will shortly move on to another Italian club”.
“We have decided not to stay in Fiorentina”, Abbas said.
It is a disappointing twist to the situation given that the Egyptian worldwide impressed after moving to the Artemio Franchi last season, scoring six goals in 16 league appearances.
‘Salah would like to play for a club with different moral and professional values.’. The Catalans rejected the offer though; with the recent addition of Aleix Vidal from Sevilla meaning Cuadrado is not needed.
Salah was expected to either join the club on loan or the Viola were going to make his loan permanent at the tune of around £13m.
Cuadrado has been at Stamford Bridge since January following his move from Serie A side Fiorentina.

However, a legal dispute could prove to scupper the deal after Fiorentina sought action over the clause that, they claim, means Salah must stay with them next season.
