Fiorina trumps Trump, maybe even herself
On honesty and trustworthiness – something that has dogged Clinton as she attempts to put to rest the controversy over her email practices – the former secretary of state still fares poorly.

In a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday, September 24, 2015…
However, according to the poll, 29 percent of Republican voters said they “would definitely not support” Trump in the general election, and 16 percent say they would not support Bush.
Dr. Ben Carson, the Republican, trails in his party race for the… Bush follows at 16 percent, with Fiorina at 9 percent.
It’s not like the other GOP candidates particularly like each other, Trump groused.
Carson and Vice President Joe Biden, who has yet to officially announce a bid for the presidency, polled the strongest overall in Quinnipiac University’s survey.
The good news for Trump: He still has his beloved polls to point to. Neither has retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who was in third place with 14 percent, down from second place and 19 percent before the debate. Meanwhile Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have been waiting patiently for their opportunity to snatch the nomination.
In a report by Reuters, Trump, who has been criticized by rivals and the media over his comments about minority groups, said on Wednesday that he is the rare Republican who can win over the black votes.
Statisticians will quickly take exception to my above conclusion by saying that at least for the NYT/CBS poll that it is accurate within a range of plus or minus 6 percentage points. Bernie Sanders and 18% support Biden. Despite all this Donald Trump still holds the lead in every poll, but do not expect him to continue this surge.
Trump even saved some arrows for Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, repeating his assertion that she, during the 2008 presidential campaign, started the discredited “birther” movement whose members falsely claim that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States. Twenty-eight percent of all voters and 39 percent of Republicans believe the former Hewlett-Packard chief executive won last week’s GOP debate at the Reagan Presidential Library. Carson’s s net favorability is +42 percent, Rubio’s is +36 percent and Kasich’s +21 percent.
Among voters who consider themselves “very conservative“, Trump and Bush are tied at 44%. Carson and Biden received the best integrity ratings, with 63 percent and 62 percent, respectively. In July, Bush was named by 26 percent, Trump by 25 percent and Fiorina by 1 percent.

Carson had a less than sparkling debate performance, the low point of which came when he said, in essence, that it was a mistake for this country to respond militarily to the 9/11 attacks.
