The order came on the application moved by Thakur under section 156 (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), which allows citizens to approach court if police refuses to register FIR.

The Hazratganj inspector, however, intimated Thakur through a letter dated July 17 that his complaint was inquired into and found to be not true.

According to Thakur’s wife Nutan, Mulayam was referring to an incident back in 2006, when Thakur was serving as Firozabad SP and was cornered by then Samajwadi Party MLA Ramveer and few of his party goons.

The court observed the allegations levelled in the application disclosed commission of cognizable offence.

Thakur said that he and his wife received threats after she filed complaint against state Mining Minister Gayatri Prajapati.

The district courtroom noticed that suspended Thakur has prima facie proof displaying Yadav threatening the police officer.
