The fire erupted just after 11 p.m. Tuesday at a condo complex in a popular tourist destination on the Lake of the Ozarks.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire in about 2 and a half hours.
The four children killed were in a fourth floor unit which is the top level.
The ages of the children and caused of the blaze weren’t immediately known.
He says two adults were rescued and the four children were taken to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Two adults and four children became trapped inside the Compass Pointed Condominiums when the late-night fire occurred, authorities said. Officials say the fire is out but they are keeping crews on the scene to handle any hot spots.
