A Miguel show had been scheduled to take place at First Avenue on Saturday (August 15), but the venue may be forced to move the sold-out concert.

According to those attending the Minneapolis concert where Theory of a Deadman was playing, it looked as if a pipe had broken, and a 30 x 30-foot portion of the ceiling fell down. “It was a awful surprise”, said Kranz.
“We have no idea why or how it happened”, Nate Kranz, First Avenue’s general manager told the Star-Tribune newspaper.
A spokeswoman for HCMC told the Minneapolis Star Tribune the hospital treated three people, who were in satisfactory condition with injuries that were not life-threatening.
A source said the “reverberation of music” caused a leak in the pipes in the ceiling, and the tiles fell down after becoming saturated with water.
The status of upcoming shows at First Avenue isn’t clear. The venue is probably best known to non-Minneapolis residents as the place Prince filmed club performance scenes for his 1984 film, Purple Rain.

The music venue will remain closed on Thursday for inspections.
