First day of fall will feature sunny, warm conditions

It will feel a lot more like summer today however, as highs warm into the mid 80s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

This morning will start off with some patchy fog in spots, but that will burn off to allow for plenty of sunshine today.

High pressure remains the dominant feature of our weather into the start of the weekend keeping us dry and hot.

Clouds roll in late Thursday and there’s a chance of showers overnight, but showers are likely off and on Friday. Look for temps to be cooler next week as well, with morning temps in the 60s and highs in the low to mid-80s. After clouds stubbornly shrouded the South Jersey skies over the last few days, we should be able to welcome back the sunshine for the rest of the week. Valley highs will only be in the 70’s, with mountain highs in the 60’s, and a few showers possible in the Sierra Nevada.

While there will indeed be a fallish feel in the air by early next week, the first few days of the season will be in contrast quite summery. We begin cool but warm very quickly with highs climbing into the mid 80’s during the afternoon!

We stay dry most of tomorrow too but with more clouds as a cold front moves down from the north. Sunday will be brighter and a touch warmer with highs staying mainly in the low to maybe mid 70s. Best chance for showers arrives Tuesday.
