First ever robot wedding takes place in Japan | Thrasher Backer
In a ceremony that confirmed the worst fears of anti-gay marriage advocates the world over, two robots were Wednesday in Japan over the weekend, according to the Telegraph.

Robots Frois and Yukirin tied the knot on Saturday in front of an audience of 100 invited guests, with the newly released Softbank robot Pepper officiating the proceedings.
Guests, who paid about $80 to attend, were treated to a robot-sliced cake and a robot wedding band, RT reports. Talk about going through the mechanics of things!
Frois, the groom, was bedecked in a bow tie, while Yukirin wore a long white wedding dress, appropriate for a bride.
Roborin is the brilliant creation of inventor Todo Takayuki and was modeled after Yuki Kashiwaga of the Japanese girl group AKB48.
The event was organized by Maywa Denki, which produces electronic accessories and designed Frois.
Now, robots are marrying each other, meaning we must only be a few years away from robots marrying humans.
The first ever robot wedding took place in Japan on June 27, with a glittering ceremony, complete with a wedding cake, a band and even a ‘kiss’ shared by the couple.

The robotic couple, as well as their creators, have not disclosed any of the honeymoon plans.
