First impressions: Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel show they belong
With just minutes left in the third period, Jack Eichel proved he’s ready to be a team leader on the ice for the Buffalo Sabres. It should be a real treat to see these two tearing up the ice this season. He will be with those players again tonight and he said they’re starting to build a chemistry, “Every day that you work with them it gets a little bit better”. It’s a long season. “That’s why they drafted me and that’s why they’re giving me this opportunity”.
Last but not least is the most obvious issue that could derail a team’s season, which is injuries.
“Throughout the whole organization, there’s been a lot of changes”. He had the benefit of skating alongside Moulson, with whom he is living this season.

Indeed, we have always made the point that deciding a deadlocked NFL game with a shootout makes as much sense at settling a tied basketball game with a free-throw shooting contest, or an MLB game with a home run contest.
