First lady’s apolitical image big part of her political draw
The Democrats had Michelle Obama, bringing down the house in an epic speech on Monday where she tearfully noted, “because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States”. White House officials have described him as a “convert” to Clinton’s cause who, after fighting her bitterly in the 2008 Democratic primary, saw her abilities firsthand when he named her secretary of state.

The first lady talked a lot about her daughters and realizing “our time in the White House would form the foundation for who they would become”. “Because of Hillary Clinton my daughters can now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States”, she said.
Without speaking to anyone in particular, she addressed the hardcore Bernie supporters, and probably the Black Lives Matter contingent as well, when she spoke about Hillary’s loss to Obama 8 years ago.
“They met in the first lady’s East Wing office with other top aides to go over Mrs. Obama’s edits, handwritten in the margins of the drafts or sent to the group in an email”, the New York Times reported.
Garry Mauro, head of the Clinton delegation for Texas, called Michelle Obama’s speech “stunningly good”.
While Mr Sanders had endorsed Mrs Clinton previously, his remarks early on Tuesday marked his most vigorous and detailed praise of her qualifications for the presidency.
“The Obamas were the first African-American First Family that we had and they did not eradicate racism in this country”. Couldn’t be more proud & our country has been blessed to have her as FLOTUS.
When asked about the speech during an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, Melania Trump said, ” I wrote it…with as little help as possible”.
According to the White House Historical Association, a private nonprofit founded by first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, commissioners in Washington, D.C., were tasked with building the capitol in 1792 under direction of the president. “If I anxious about who liked me and who thought I was cute at your age, I wouldn’t be married to the President of the United States today”, she told the audience at Glamour’s “The Power of an Educated Girl” event in an attempt to encourage girls to put books before boys. But anyone comparing the two speeches could hardly miss that the original was far more alive and convincing. Without taking the name of Donald Trump, she managed to throw shade at the Republican presidential candidate. It was better even than her CUNY commencement speech of June 3, 2016. “Kennedy pointed to the moon from Seneca Falls to those who stood at Stonewall Inn, giants before us said in a chorus of conviction, America, we will rise”, he said. Obama later choked up talking about watching her daughters play on the lawn of a house “built by slaves”.
Trump often makes 140-character statements about his positions on his Twitter account, @realDonaldTrump.
“Donald Trump has no real plans for jobs, for college kids, for seniors”, she said in the keynote address.
