First lady set to campaign for Clinton
“Now that we are past Labor Day, Democratic leaders are kicking it into high gear to make the case that Hillary Clinton has the ability to do the job of commander in chief and president on day one”, campaign spokesman Jesse Ferguson said.

Trump, the Republican nominee, has praised Putin, the president of Russian Federation, and has called on Moscow to dig up tens of thousands of “missing” emails from Clinton’s time as head of the US State Department. The Washington Post put her advantage at 244 electoral votes in the bag, compared to the 126 electoral votes that Trump can count on.
On Monday, in swing state Ohio, Mr Trump softened his stance on immigration while Mrs Clinton blasted Russian Federation for suspected tampering in the U.S. electoral process.
“We are going to have to take those threats and attacks seriously”, Clinton told reporters traveling with her from OH to IL. This appearance follows Bernie Sanders, who proved a tough adversary during the Democratic primary but stumped for Clinton in New Hampshire on Labor Day.
On the Russian president, Clinton said it was “very clear [Putin] is quite satisfied with himself” for the intrusions.
Highlighting the intensity of the fight for battleground states like Ohio, Trump was already on the ground in Cleveland for his own campaign events when Clinton arrived, their planes parking about two football fields apart on the tarmac.
When asked if there is “any part of the law” he would change to accommodate undocumented immigrants who are law-abiding and have kids in the U.S., Trump said: “There certainly can be a softening because we’re not looking to hurt people”.
Earlier Monday while campaigning in Ohio, Mrs. Clinton had called Mr. Trump’s surprise visit to Mexico City last week as “an embarrassing global incident”.
“He can try to fool voters into thinking somehow he’s not as harsh and inhumane as he seems but it’s too late”, Clinton said.
Despite the former Secretary of State’s impressive $143 million fundraising haul for the month of August, the newest polls – which tracked over September 1-4, shows GOP challenger Donald Trump gaining on the Democratic nominee.
“I’m ready. I’m more than ready”, she said of the intense, two-month battle ahead as she attempts to become the first female United States commander in chief.
Trump, meanwhile, addressed his proposed border wall plan in an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America.
Hillary Clinton is unveiling a new ad appealing to military veterans, aiming to undercut Donald Trump’s message on defense. He says, “it was discussed that it wouldn’t be discussed, but they know my stance and I know their stance”.
As the two prepare for the debates, Hillary Clinton has been prepping for weeks while Donald Trump has only just started to begin to prepare for the most important moments of his political career. According to the pool report, Trump told him, “You’re going to have a friend in the White House”.
Clinton is again on the defensive over her use of a private email server and possible conflicts of interest with her family foundation while secretary of state, which have caused unease for some voters.
“What her real plan is, she has total amnesty” and a pathway to citizenship, he said, reiterating his opposition to such a legalization process without undocumented immigrants leaving the country first.
Under extensive criticism from her rival and journalists for not holding a full press conference in nine months, Clinton welcomed reporters on her plane and briefly entertained questions before taking off from NY.
“Donald Trump and I are both going to release our tax returns”, Pence, the IN governor, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.
