First Line Of Smart 4K TVs Coming From Polaroid Brand
P&F USA’s Philips TV brand used CES 2016 to unveil an expanded line of 4K UHD TVs, all of which will support high dynamic range (HDR), including one series of models that will support both the baseline and Dolby Vision HDR standards.

Pricing has not been detailed yet, but Sony’s new X93D series is expected to launch this spring. Both of the UP130 and US5800 lineups are available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 60-inch, starting from $600 onward. Paired with X-tended Dynamic Range PRO, Backlight Master Drive attains an unprecedented dynamic range, dramatically improving visual depth and realism.
TVs: In TVs, the company is bringing Open HDR technology to seven new 4K models, having offered two 4K TVs in its 2015 lineup with HDR-upgrade capability. Previous year at CES, Sony presented its ultra-thin TV set.
The consumer electronics show or the CES 2016 in Las Vegas this week is likely to see some low dollar 4K HDR TVs.
The new TVs will support Google’s Android TV operating system, while the new XBR-X930D models will feature Sony’s new Slim Backlight Drive, which is designed to boost and dims the backlight to create deeper blacks and brighter peak highlights.
Sony has taken another big step in the TV market, adding to an increasing pool of manufacturers who are touting 4K HDR as the future of our viewing habits with their BRAVIA 4K HDR line.
TCL has also announced a new series for 4K TV sets, which will be known as X1.
“The combination of 4K resolution and HDR image quality is truly astounding”, said Karl Bearnarth, executive vice president of sales and marketing for P&F USA, Inc., the exclusive North American licensee for Philips consumer televisions and home video products. It is called H.ear and will come equipped with extra bass. Meanwhile, “h.ear on™ Wireless NC” and “h.ear in™ Wireless” are wireless headphones that complement the wired headsets previously released.
