Early reviews for the BlackBerry Priv seem to be mixed, but according to BlackBerry, the company’s first Android-powered smartphone is a hit with consumers. Priv has just stepped down to the markets, and Blackberry has hinted that they might not be presenting a new device this year. The keyboard appears to have the same dimensions and design as the BlackBerry Priv. not a lot of details have been revealed about the new phone, but it looks promising, considering how the Priv was well-received by users because of its OS. The device is being show off in four color variants – silver, blue, black, and red. Vienna may use capacitive buttons instead of software buttons found on the Priv. A front-facing mono speaker sits at the top of the phone, alongside a front-facing camera. There are also power and volume buttons on the right side and a SIM card and MicroSD card slot on the left side. The camera sensor of the Vienna looks smaller than the Priv’s 18-megapixel OIS shooter, so the new handset might have the same camera or downgrade to an 8-megapixel or 13-megapixel component. Since all of the apps have been added to Google Play already, it shouldn’t be hard for BlackBerry to add support for Vienna. Due to demand, there has been a delay in shipping PRIV smartphones to a few customers who pre-ordered. Fresh out of the box, the Vienna will run on Android 6.0 or Android Lollipop depending on the date of release.
Blackberry Priv featured a 5.4-inch sized display, which however would be too bulky for a smartphone if used with a permanent keypad alongside.

Sources close to the matter tell us that shipments of BlackBerry Priv are being delayed by up to 14 days because of “some internal technical issue”. However, Blackberry said it remains committed to the BlackBerry 10 operating system, and will continue to release platform updates focused on security and privacy enhancements.
