Speaking of that chemistry, one of the biggest headlines to come out of Passengers is about Lawrence and Pratt’s sex scene.

Today (Aug. 12, 2016), Entertainment Weekly revealed the first images from the forthcoming Passengers that tease an enticing new high-concept romance.
Check out the first images above and below for the film also starring Michael Sheen and Laurence Fishburne. Awoken 90 years too early, the pair find they have the giant ship to themselves and begin to fall in love, before discovering the ship is malfunctioning, threatening the lives of everyone on board. It’s very smart and amusing and clever and such a page turner I couldn’t put it down. The movie has done fantastic justice with the intimacy and epic story of the movie at the same time. For me, it’s a story about what’s important to live a full life. The movie is about a Luxury and an exceptional colony of human bound to the spaceship and the idea which is still 120 years away right now from us. It has the complexity of a big movie and at the same time we really had to put time aside to put into character development. Every generation has its love story. “I feel like this is it.” Wow. [Jennifer and Chris] are so great together, and both of them are so hard-working.

Entertainment Weekly premiered two new photos from the movie, and while we don’t learn a whole lot more about the movie, it’s clear that our star-crossed (sorry) lovers will have to space suit up (again, apologies) to save their ship from utter failure. That’s just 5 days after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story debuts, and the same day as both video game epic Assassin’s Creed and animated feature Sing. In this day of sequels and reboots I think it’s refreshing that it is a completely original story with two of the best movie stars in the world.
