We already got a little bit of info on Carey’s character, but the network just released a new trailer for the upcoming season and it gives us a couple glimpses of the Always Be My Baby singer!
The We Belong Together singer’s highly-anticipated appearance on the program is slated for the episode airing October 5.
Last month, Henson dished on working with Carey, telling reporters at the Television Critics Association that she was “grateful” the 46-year-old singer decided to make an appearance on the hip-hop drama. She brings a sense of what Mariah brings to the music industry.
Ms. Cookie herself dished about Mariah’s time on set, telling press at the 2016 Television Critics Association summer press tour, “She was great”.
Other guest stars on this season of “Empire” include Taye Diggs as a wealthy and well-respected councilman named Angelo Dubois. Meanwhile, Season 3 of Empire will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m.
