First Look at Pennywise the Clown in ‘It’ Reboot Lands on Internet
Indeed, the new Pennywise has been revealed to the public at large with this first-look image, with the new iteration of the character played by Hemlock Grove actor Bill Skarsgard. We now know the film will be released September 8, 2017, and now we’ve got our first official look at Skarsgard in Pennywise attire courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Now, our first look at Skarsgård in character has arrived and if you’re already afraid of clowns, this won’t do you any good. The new Stephen King adaptation has been in the works for years, with Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) originally set to co-write and direct the project before departing over creative differences.

He later added, “It’s important that we do something fresh and original for this one”. Inhumane”, Skarsgard said. “It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. “It’s purposely not going toward that weird, greasy look”, a reference to either the original Pennywise, Tim Curry, or maybe The Dark Knight’s Heath Ledger.

“I’m playing just one of the beings It creates”, the actor says. What’s amusing to this evil entity might not be amusing to everyone else.

Skarsgard is stepping into big shoes following Tim Curry’s portrayal of Pennywise, which emotionally crippled childhoods across the world. “But he thinks it’s amusing”.
