First look at the weather for Memorial Day weekend

Highs are forecast in the lower to mid-80s from Wednesday through the weekend in the Baltimore area.

The chances of weekend showers and thunderstorms is about 40%, though Hoving said the benefit is that humidity is expected to go down by Sunday. Some of the thunderstorms could even support “locally heavy downpours”.

Central New York Most places in Central New York will probably not hit 90 degrees, except maybe near Syracuse on Saturday. The National Hurricane Center gives this system a 60% chance of development over the next 5 days.

Friday: Mostly sunny, high near 75.
