A new trailer for the upcoming Barbershop: The Next Cut has been released.
“Barbershop 3” also stars Regina Hall (“Think Like a Man”), Oscar victor Common (“Selma”), Sean Patrick Thomas (“Barbershop”), Eve (“Whip It”), Anthony Anderson (TV’s “Black-ish”), Jaszmine Lewis (“Barbershop”), JB Smoove (TV’s “The Millers”), and recording artist Nicki Minaj (“The Other Woman”).
“I actually had to watch because I wanted to make sure I did her justice”, she remembers.
To celebrate Hollywood’s longest-gestating sequels – and the potential disappointment that comes with them – we present the widest gaps between two movies of the same franchise, along with whether or not they were worth the wait. “Barbershop: TNC” marks Minaj’s third film (her first was 2012’s “Ice Age: Continental Drift”), and according to the film’s director Malcolm Lee, she performed admirably. “With Cube and Cedric, being the pillars of the film, they’re also the pillars of the people on set. Here she is part of an ensemble, but she fell right in line with how we were going to make this movie and make it as good as we can”.
Lee, “The Next Cut” is a direct sequel to the 2004 film “Barbershop 2: Back in Business” and the fourth film overall in the Barbershop film series, following the 2002 original Barbershop film and the 2005 spin-off “Beauty Shop”.
