Production began this week on the new CW series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and the first photo has now been revealed of two of the show’s heroes – Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
Hello, Hawkman and Hawkgirl! The suits of Hawkman and Hawkgirl look a whole lot like Nite Owl’s costume from the Watchmen film, based on the DC graphic novel from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into a winged warrior.
Damn, those helmets are totally on point – though I am kind of bummed they don’t have to carry giant wings around at all times. Hawkman’s got a spiked mace, so you know he can do some damage.
Kendra was previously seen during the season one final of The Flash, which is due to return to our screens for its second season next month.
“It is a group of heroes and villains gathering together to stop this super villain but that does not mean they are one big happy family”.
The CW is sticking with its superhero trend, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Legends of Tomorrow” is set to premiere on The CW during the midseason with 13 episodes, according to Zap2It.
Greg Berlanti is the executive producer of the show, along with Marc Guggenheim who’s already directing another DC series, “Arrow“.
“Legends of Tomorrow” is expected to launch early in 2016 and a new featurette surfaced.
