The AP notes that Trump has been especially harsh about CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who is also scheduled to moderate one of the upcoming debates.

With Hillary Clinton chosen to represent the Democrats and Donald Trump fighting for the Republicans, the two will begin debating each other as we enter Fall.
NBC’s Lester Holt, who will moderate the September 26 debate at New York’s Hofstra University, has chosen “securing America” as one of three major topics for the debate, the Commission on Presidential Debates said. 2 NEWS will be in NY and have live reports from Hofstra University beginning on Sunday night on WDTN.
Starting at 9 p.m. ET, according to NPR, the first debate will be divided into three 30-minute segments on one of the three selected issues. Commission On Presidential Debates co-chairman Frank Fahrenkopf told NPR that it was Holt’s decision to combine the segments.
The grandly named topics are likely to include familiar debate fare on the economy, national security and what direction the country is going. “And they really hit him because I won that debate”, Trump said.
The Board determined that the polling averages called for in the third criterion are as follows: Hillary Clinton (43 percent), Donald Trump (40.4 percent), Gary Johnson (8.4 percent) and Jill Stein (3.2 percent). “And how they will present themselves to the American people is anyone’s guess”. The vice presidential nominees will debate once, on October 4 in Virginia.

After Wright State pulled out from being the host school, Hofstra University accepted and extended an invitation to 15 WSU students to attend the debate in person.
