Trump’s decline is a big part of Clinton’s post-convention boost. In the first few weeks after presidential conventions, polling data ebbs and flows more than normal, so expect these numbers to continue to fluctuate until around mid-August.
Clinton has solidly been trailed by Trump in the poll throughout most of the 2016 presidential race.

The Trump campaign responded by saying, “Hillary Clinton has proved herself unfit to serve in any government office”.
In a radio interview, Roger Stone, one of the property mogul’s confidantes and political allies, also said: “I think we have widespread voter fraud”. John McCain in their respective primaries. “Nearly always. Not always, but nearly always, you’ll see the elections are pretty well run”.
Senator McCain, a veteran of the Vietnam War, said in a strongly worded statement that Trump did not have “unfettered licence to defame the best among us”.
“They have no choice”, Trump said.

Hanna wrote that he has “long held the belief that the Republican Party is becoming increasingly less capable of nominating a person who is electable as president”, suggesting that Hispanics, women, and the LGBT communities are groups that the GOP has grown increasingly out-of-step with.
