First win for Bournemouth, Manchester United held

West Ham are also without their first choice goalkeeper, with Adrian serving a three-match ban after his dismissal against Leicester. The three points snatched from Arsenal were something of a bonus for the Hammers; a return of zero points from both the Leicester and Bournemouth fixtures would be a worrying outcome.
Bournemouth had endured two narrow defeats this season, including a controversial 1-0 loss to Liverpool on Monday that featured an offside goal from Christian Benteke which the Premier League conceded shouldn’t have stood. They were a bit unlucky.
“I’m taking a break”. Their first idea is always to pass the ball. Maybe after that game we started to think individually like, “that is enough for us on the pitch”, but the fact is we lost the game, I don’t like this position.
It should’ve been 3-0 deep into first half stoppage time, when Wilson laid a square ball through the 18 to Gradel, but the Ivorian’s belted shot was parried by Darren Randolph.
“It is very hard to explain three of their four goals – you can’t make errors like that at this level”, he was quoted as saying by the BBC. Eddie Howe accepts that Bournemouth’s image could be undermining them.
Bournemouth earned promotion as the winners of the Championship last term but are yet to pick up a point after two Premier League outings. Howe – though reluctant to encourage a different approach – recognises that greater aggression may have helped their cause in their opening two matches. “We were again second best today and I don’t like this situation”, Bilic said.
He is now looking to build on that with more goals for Claudio Ranieri’s side and his lively performances in the early weeks of the season suggest he has plenty more in his locker.
“If we had £100m to spend we may say “we’ll spend £15m and gamble one-sixth of our budget”. We were again second-best and I don’t like this situation.
Think you know your football? As good attacking full-backs they are capable of getting up the flanks and providing quality crosses, but to expect them to do it all single-handedly without having a winger to drop in and cover when possession changes hands is asking a little too much.
“The throw-ins are just a matter of, ‘Do I want to be there?” Howe is expected to retain the same team for the trip to West Ham.
