First Women to Graduate From Army Ranger School

The Washington Post identified the two women as Capt. Kristen Griest and 1st Lt. Shaye Haver.
Only 3 percent of the Army earns the elite Army Ranger tab, it is reported that each branch of the Military will look at how they can incorporate women into these roles. He said he also served as a career Army aviator who flew Apaches. That’s a big deal.

“I didn’t think that they would physically be able to bear the weight and I thought they would quit or get hurt, and they have proved me wrong”, Boley said. Eight women successfully completed RAP week; however, all were recycled into Ranger Class 07-15 as Darby inserts for a second attempt at patrolling.

These three women met the standards of the Benning Phase and moved on to the Mountain Phase on July 10. “Frankly, that’s the path we are headed down, but we’re not done yet”.
