FIST Professional Debuts New Fullback Pick-Up at the Dubai Motor Show
With the new truck, the Fiat Professional brand enters the medium-duty pickup truck segment in the EMEA region, where it sold 675,000 units in 2014, accounting for 23% of the total sales in the LCV segment.

But it’s not. Fiat SA has confirmed that the Fullback medium-duty one-tonner, based on the 2015 Mitsubishi L200 and unveiled today at the Dubai motor show, will be released in South Africa during the third quarter of 2016, in both single and double-cab format, with an all-wheel drive option for the double cab.
Powered by a 2.4-liter petrol engine.
Available exclusively as a double-cab, the Italo-Japanese creation you can admire in the photograph above prouds itself with a payload of 1,045 kg (2,303 lbs).
The Fiat Fullback – yes, that is an intentional sporting reference – will tread the same commercial yet family-friendly line as its rivals with its double-cab body style, offering five seats and four doors but also a spacious load area and 1,045kg payload.
Power for Middle Eastern and North African Fullbacks will come from a 2.5-liter diesel – good for between 110 and 178 horses – and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine capable of 132 horsepower, both of them linked depending on the country to a five-speed manual or a five-speed auto.

Slated to arrive in Europe in the third quarter of 2016, the all-new Fiat Fullback draws its name from the cornerstone position in American football and rugby. Size-wise, it measures at 5285mm long, 1815mm wide, 1780mm tall with a 3000mm wheelbase. Measuring 1,780 mm in height, 1,815 mm in width and 5,285 mm in length, the Fullback is huge by Old Continent standards.
