Fitzpatrick lights up Buffalo as Bills fall to 0-2
Matt Forte scored three touchdowns and Ryan Fitzpatrick finally solved Rex Ryan’s defense, leading the New York Jets to a 37-31 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. “The Jets were a much better team than we were today, especially their offense against our defense”.

Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was 24 of 34 for 374 yards and a touchdown while Matt Forte ran for 100 yards on 30 carries and three touchdowns.
For the first time in a long while, Fitzpatrick was indeed hot against a team coached by Rex Ryan, against whom he had a 1-8 record entering the game, and against the Bills, who had won five straight over the Jets.
The Jets, meanwhile, righted the ship just in time for a brutal four-game stretch in which they’ll play four playoff teams from past year (the Chiefs, Steelers, Seahawks and Cardinals), with three of those games on the road.
Going down the field after catching a short, 15-yard pass, Marshall was pulled to the ground by Buffalo cornerback Ronald Darby. He had two catches for 20 yards.
Eric Decker, Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa ran riot through the secondary while Buffalo were running on fumes. “Once I got that, I said, ‘I’m going to go out there and run'”. “We’ve got a lot of playmakers and it’s my job to spread it around, get them all the ball and keep them happy”.
The Bills’ defence did a good job of controlling Ryan Fitzpatrick and co for stretches in the game. Decker led NY with six catches for 126 yards and a touchdown, while Marshall had six catches for 101 yards.
“I went up to him during the game and said, ‘Man, you’re hot right now, ‘ ” Marshall said, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis got off to another tough start. Opposing offenses could be looking at Revis Island as a pretty attractive destination this season. One thing looks certain: neither the Bills nor the Jets will be part of the lowest over/under line in NFL Week 3. Ronald Darby and Stephon Gilmore allowed 13 of the 19 passes thrown in their direction to be completed for 226 yards and a score.
