“We don’t have any turnovers, we have a chance to win the game”.

Defensive end/linebacker Chris McCain (hip) is inactive and the Dolphins have activated former Jets defensive end Quinton Coples, who the Dolphins claimed on Tuesday.

The Dolphins got the ball first in the second half.

“We all knew coming in that they were a good rush defense”, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill said. “We gave up a lot last week, but we went to work and tried to get better”. The 38 points were a season high for the Jets. Miami missed the playoffs just 15 times total from its inaugural season in 1966 through 2001. Tannehill has clearly regressed and Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is a man now on a mission to see changes enacted within his franchise. They had started the season 4-1 before losing four of their next five games, including an embarrassing defeat to Houston’s backup quarterback last week.

“I think we are a playoff team”, Marshall said. There’s no excuses being thrown around here, I still stand by the fact that he needs to improve his route running and his concentration with catching the football. Pouncey sustained a foot injury and has been replaced in the starting line up by rookie Jamil Douglas.

This was the first Jets season sweep of the Dolphins since 2006.

Matthews injured his chest and ribs on a hit by Pryor in the first quarter and did not return to the game. Miami plays host to Baltimore on Sunday.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Dan Campbell looked every bit like a frustrated coach searching for answers. Tannehill endured a series of low snaps from Douglas throughout the game.

“It’s hugely disappointing”, Tannehill said following Sunday’s game. Matthews, meanwhile, needed a few minutes to get up before walking gingerly to the sideline.

Yes, we are in the midst of another troubling year for the Miami Dolphins. Fitzy tossed for 277 yards and four touchdowns on Sunday, to the tune of a 118.9 QBR. Two plays later, Landry caught a 5-yard touchdown pass with Darrin Walls in coverage, to cut the Jets’ lead to 21-7 with 2:30 remaining in the third. He had 11 catches against the Buffalo Bills on November 8 and 110 yards receiving against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 20. The Jets took an early 7-0 lead with 1:53 remaining in the first quarter when Marshall pulled down a beautifully placed ball from Fitzpatrick to cap off a 72 yard, 12 play drive.
