But in the meantime, an exchange of fire erupted between the security forces and terrorists which led to the death of two terrorists including Ahad, the leader of Al-Qaeda activity in Karachi.
An Al Qaeda “commander” among two terrorists were killed during an operation by the Rangers, police and intelligence agencies in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.
The law-enforcers told SAMAA that the deceased identified the troubled spot where miscreants were holed up.
One terrorist was detained in injured condition and has been identified by the name of Elahi Baksh alias Guddu.

A Rangers spokesperson said that they were involved in serious criminal offences including murder of Chinese officials and target killing. His body has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal procedure. Earlier in May 2015, four militants affiliated with the BLA were killed in a search operation conducted by police and the Rangers in Pak Colony, all of whom were also involved in the Lyari gang war.
