Five Big-Picture Takeaways From Eagles Week 14 Win vs Bills
The Eagles are still high on their surprising win against the New England Patriots, allowing them to tie up the top spot in the NFC East, while the Bills are hoping to grab a win to remain in contention in the AFC. Anytime you get a chance to go back and play your former team… you want to impress and you want to play good.

“It’s an emotional game for him”, said Eagles outside linebacker Brandon Graham.
LeSean McCoy hugged the owner, kissed the logo and everything went downhill from there.
Well, McCoy didn’t shake anybody’s hand – as the final seconds ticked away, he dashed to the tunnel and the Bills locker room without exchanging pleasantries with any of his former teammates. McCoy was out of things to say.
“I thought we were the better team, but obviously we got beat”, Bills coach Rex Ryan said. “I did not get an opportunity to talk to him and it’s a lesson in what we should never do, to be honest with you”.
“We moved the ball pretty well and push it down the field, but we just couldn’t capitalize when we had to”, Taylor said.
-Buffalo tied the score on the next possession with long passes to Robert Woods (32 yards) and Sammy Watkins (47 yards) with Watkins catch going for a touchdown (7-7) with eight minutes left in the first quarter.
Trailing 20-10 in the third quarter, Tyrod Taylor led to the Bills on back-to-back scoring drives highlighted by Mike Gillislee’s 19-yard touchdown run to pull Buffalo even with the Eagles at 20 a piece.
Philadelphia scored first as running back Darren Sproles rushed for a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter that gave them a 7-0 lead. The 66 degrees at kickoff should make optimistic Eagles fans wonder if it will be this warm for the Super Bowl 50 on February 7 in Santa Clara. First, Bills returner Marcus Thigpen muffed a punt and the Eagles recovered on the Bills’ 37.
The Eagles came back with a deep pass of their own as Bradford stepped up in the pocket to hurl it to Nelson Agholor for a 53-yard touchdown and the first National Football League touchdown for the rookie receiver.
“That 91 is a good player”, Ryan said. With Nick Foles shuffled to the Rams, Bradford hasn’t set the City of Brotherly Love on fire with just 13 touchdown passes and 2,417 yards.

NOTES: Eagles RB Ryan Mathews returned to the lineup after missing the last three games with concussion symptoms. It didn’t appear to be Ryan, but it very well may have been defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman.
