Five days left to save the Labour Party, says Owen Smith
I was furious about it to be frank and it was just at that time when we were really rebuilding our relationships very, very well throughout the summer. And those of us who don’t think of ourselves as either Blairites or Corbynites – which is most of us – are welcome in this Party too.

“To take control of the Labour Party, bit by bit, seat by seat, by fair means or foul, and to drag us away from the centre left of politics, where our values and our voters reside, to the hard left they represent, and which the country rejects”, he said in a speech to supporters in Westminster. “This is not about deselecting MPs”.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has been outlining his economic plans for a post-Brexit Britain, pledging to abandon a “failed” economic model.
And to add more insult to injury, the shake-up of seats in north London, which sees the constituency he has represented since 1983 split into Islington and Finsbury Park & Stoke Newington, potentially pits him against two of his closest lieutenants – shadow health secretary Diane Abbott and shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry.
The Boundary Commission has published its proposed changes to Croydon’s three parliamentary constituencies.
Boris Johnson’s Uxbridge seat will be changed to include more Labour wards, while another of the leading Brexiteers, David Davis, is also looking at major changes to his Yorkshire constituency.
The Labour leader said to continue cutting investment was “an act of unpardonable folly” and said June’s referendum vote to leave the European Union was actually a “decisive rejection” of austerity, “poverty pay”, zero-hours contracts and a housing shortage. We now have MPs such as Neil Coyle consulting legal opinion on whether to sue their party leader.
Tory areas have faired much better from the changes, and have only lost a handful of constituencies.
Corbyn noted the comment within a list detailing the behaviour of certain MPs in order to point out double standards over treatment of abuse in the party.
“These changes are not about fairness to voters, they are about what is best for the Tory Party and they must not go ahead”.
The initial proposals for England and Wales, announced on Tuesday, follow those for Northern Ireland which were disclosed last week. “Every MP’s view is worth the same as every member of the public’s”.
The leadership challenger is accusing Momentum of behaving like a party within a party. And 46 per cent of respondents said they liked the Labour Party, up six points from this time past year.
Mr Khan said the case load of a London MP is “humongous”.

A huge change to constituencies across the United Kingdom may cost the Labour party a huge number of seats, possibly wiping out their chances of forming a Government again.
