Flamboyant Mexican superstar singer Juan Gabriel dies at age 66
Gabriel was named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year in 1995, and was nominated for six Grammys in his lifetime.

Just Friday, Gabriel gave a packed concert in Los Angeles, to a crowd of 17,000 that had fans singing along and dancing for more than two hours.
The star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Mexican superstar Juan Gabriel was covered with flowers and sweets Monday after the singer-songwriter’s death.
He added, “A voice and a talent that represented Mexico”.
“His music was his legacy for the world”, Pena Nieto, the Mexican President, wrote on Twitter. “He has left us too soon”.
Latin music star Juan Gabriel passed away over the weekend at age 66. “May he rest in peace”.
Our thoughts are with Juan’s family and friends during this hard time.
Gabriel was one of the top selling Latin music artists in history, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide.
In his 45-year career, he was best known for his soulful ballads and romantic rancheras.

His website lists more than 60 albums, with the first, “El Alma Joven”, produced in 1971. He was the youngest of ten children of the family. “Don’t believe it.
