The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for until 10 p.m. for the following counties in our area: Boone, Carroll, DeKalb, Jo Davies, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside, and Winnebago.

Hawaii island’s flood advisory expired at 9:45 p.m. Earlier in the evening, the weather radar showed almost stationary heavy rain near Waikoloa Village, or about 24 miles northeast of Kailua-Kona.

Hawaii Island received rain just about everywhere, with more than two inches in Waimea. “We also had water and runoff crossing the road down near the Kawaihae Harbor that left about four motorists stranded”.

Heavy rain associated with a sub tropical air mass will bring the potential for flooding.
