Flash flood watch in effect in Oklahoma after heavy rainfall
“Rain totals could reach 2-4″ with isolated amounts as high as 5” by the end of the week.

Heavy rainfall from last week left many areas under high water across the Houston region, leading to evacuations, rescues, road closures and school cancelations.
Because we are already saturated, and rivers/creeks/streams/lakes are almost full or flooding, any additional rainfall may/should cause some flash flooding in our area.
Forecasters say scattered thunderstorms will continue across the state through Thursday night, although severe storms are not expected.
We should begin to see much better weather as we head through the day on Sunday and much better weather Monday through Wednesday of next week. Rain will diminish from west to east on Thursday but there’s a chance of storms each day through Saturday.
As of Wednesday, numerous river flood warnings remained in effect. Weather conditions will be improving late this weekend into next week. South Central Texas is known as Flash Flood Alley.
