Flights in Charlotte canceled days ahead of Cardinals-Panthers playoff
American Airlines customers must have a flight scheduled between today and Sunday to be eligible. The severe weather conditions will lead to many cancellations and delays throughout the region, including at our hubs at Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., and Newark Liberty Airport in Newark, New Jersey.

All major airlines have issued waivers for travel over the weekend, allowing passengers to rebook onto earlier or later flights to avoid the storms.

Ahead of the storm, many airlines including United and Delta are waiving change fees for some passengers scheduled to fly through affected cities. “The change fee and any difference in fare will be waived for new flights departing on or before January 20-27, 2016, as long as travel is rescheduled in the same cabin (any fare class) and between the same cities as originally ticketed”, the carrier notes on its website.
