Flint Pastor Stops Trump In His Tracks After Speech Gets Too Political
Donald Trump was cut off, chastised and then heckled after he attacked rival Hillary Clinton during what was supposed to be a speech on helping where the government had failed the people of Flint, Michigan.

“Okay, that’s good. Then I’m going to go back to Flint”, Trump said, pivoting back to the water crisis.
The city of Flint is again making national headlines this week as Donald Trump has paid it a visit.
Trump continued to speak about Flint and Rev. Timmons admonished the crowd for their heckling.
In a bold move, a Flint Pastor stopped Trump when he started to get too political during a stop at a water crisis help center. “They’ll make their cars, they’ll employ thousands and thousands of people not from this country and they’ll sell the cars through a very weak border – no tax, no nothing”.
“Cars were made in Flint and you couldn’t drink the water in Mexico”.
GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump appears to have gotten more than he bargained for when he made a speaking appearance at Bethel United Methodist Church during his visit to Flint, Michigan, on Wednesday.
Timmons walked up and interrupted: “Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done for Flint, not give a political speech”.
A statement given at the event by Rev. Faith Green Timmons of Bethel United Methodist Church explained Trump’s visit to the Flint church as a result of her church’s policy to welcome everyone.
All told, Trump’s speech in Flint lasted for six minutes and his departure from the church was accompanied by the calls of hecklers.
Trump was visiting the city to view its water crisis first-hand and extend his recent outreach to African-American voters ahead of the November 8 election.
Critics of Trump’s visit had wondered why it took the Republican nominee so long to visit Flint, especially since Clinton had been there seven months earlier.
“I can only say in the strongest of terms that we can fix this problem, it’s going to take time, it’s fantastic the damage that’s been done. We can not let this story drift from national attention for any reason”.

Critics say Trump paints an overly bleak picture of life in urban African-American communities, where crime has fallen and the life expectancy has risen in recent decades. Polls show black voters largely favor Clinton.
