Everything still points to significant 2 day rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches.
A Flash Flood Watch begins at midnight for the entire area. While a decent amount of rain is expected from this first wave, the heavier rain will come with the second wave that is expected to push into our region Monday night into Tuesday along a frontal boundary.
The heaviest axis of rain will shift east Tuesday night.
According to Sebastian County EMS Director Jeff Turner, the department has received detailed information from both National Weather Service offices about the upcoming weather and has taken precautions.
Small creeks and streams could see risky flash flooding; and rivers and larger streams could rise significantly, forecasters say.

The high temperature could reach 69 Tuesday. However, there will be a 20 percent chance of rain on Saturday along a cold front. High temps are expected to drop to 62 on Wednesday, 58 on Thursday and 54 on Friday.
