The Basement, a UCF bar 15 miles from campus in downtown Orlando, is offering free beer – FREE BEER – during Knights games until the 0-4 team actually wins a game.
The bar, which is called The Basement, apparently used to be popping when the Knights would play.
“Looking down the schedule, if we are going to win this would be the weekend to do it”, Whitacre said.
Geers said he isn’t anxious about the cost associated with providing free alcohol until the team with the country’s worst offense finally earns a win.
This is not a drill; there is an actual bar giving actual beer away for free right now.
Patrons shouldn’t get their hopes up for fine microbrews flowing like wine while attractive women instinctively flock to The Basement like the salmon of Capistrano, however.

Whitacre tells ESPN he hasn’t heard from the school’s athletic department about the promotion. “Because we need something to be excited about”. He added there’s been a lot of buzz for the promotion and they’re expecting to exceed capacity and open the nightclub above the bar to accommodate the larger crowd.
