Thornton was arrested on August 14, but Hale remained at large.
A Polk County man wanted for a burglary is now taunting the sheriff online, according to Grady Judd.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office via Facebook Deputies said Tyler Thornton (l.) and Logan Hale (r.) broke into a Lakeland home earlier this month and stole goods to pawn. He was found riding as a passenger in a auto in Lakeland around 5 p.m. Hale’s family has been cooperative, deputies said.
A Florida man was arrested after authorities said he taunted the sheriff’s office on Facebook.
On August 18, four days after the post, Hale again posted on the same post saying, “Deputies continue to look for me but Are frustrated that i am unable to be located….”
That same day he posted, “Just got done doing two yeara up the road…”
“It would be wise for you to turn yourself in to the nearest PCSO facility”.
The sheriff said he was tickled that Hale took to Facebook to taunt him.
“When you catch them, make sure the judge keeps them in jail much longer”, Facebook user Sharon Anderson McFadden wrote.
Anyone with information can call deputies at 863-298-6200.
The sheriff’s office has teamed up with Heartland Crime Stoppers to offer a $500-plus reward in the case. And at some point someone thought to be Hale responded, taunting the sheriff.
He’d even changed his profile name to “Logan Finallyfree Hale”.
