Florida Gators suspend Treon Harris, Jalen Tabor for Tennessee game
According to Florida’s Scout.com site Fightin’ Gators, Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor will be suspended for Saturday’s game against Tennessee for unspecified reasons. Harris split time at quarterback with Will Grier in the Gators’ first two games, completing 19-of-27 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

It’s Harris’ second suspension in two years. Harris started the New Mexico State game, but Will Grier went the whole way in last week’s 14-9 win over Kentucky. He has also rushed eight times for 55 yards.
Harris is 5-2 as a starter at UF. Last season, he threw for 1,019 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions. He had perhaps the rivalry’s biggest play past year when he sacked Vols quarterback Justin Worley, knocked away the ball and recovered the fumble to spark a 10-9 comeback win.

Florida hasn’t lost to Tennessee since the 2004 season, and if the Gators want to keep that 10-game winning streak alive, they’ll have to do so without two important players. Tabor, meanwhile, is another part-time starter. McCalister, a starting defensive end, will reportedly be suspended for the game, as well, after already being suspended for the opener.
