Scott met with Kentucky business owner Chris Yeazel, who’s expanding his 1st Choice Aerospace into Broward County.

Steve Beshear, a Democrat, will be busy the next two days, said his spokesman Terry Sebastian.

“We know that state funding alone will not produce better outcomes for those with mental illness and substance abuse needs”, Department of Children and Families Secretary Mike Carroll said in a statement.

Beshear, who has traded barbs with the Republican Scott over the economies of both states, has previously said the trip for Scott will “waste his time.”.

Scott has a pair of business development meetings scheduled in Lexington and an evening reception set for Louisville.

Scott made his announcement just off the corner of Main and Broadway in downtown Lexington. Governor Scott praised the business climate in his state.

The Philadelphia excursion focused on the continued expansion of Wawa convenience stores in Florida, while attracting more maritime cargo highlighted the stop in Los Angeles.

Soon after landing in Lexington, Scott announced that an aerospace company that provides support services for commercial and military aircraft will add 40 jobs to its South Florida workforce by 2017.

Campus carry supporters: “No evidence” of increased gun violence if bill passed – Florida lawmakers are gearing up for a showdown over allowing concealed weapons on campus – and supporters of the legislation are honing in what they say is a “lack of evidence” proving concealed carry permit holders would engage in violence if the legislation was passed in the Sunshine State. Beshear has criticized Scott’s previous efforts to lure Kentucky businesses.
