Florida newspaper says Rubio should resign from Senate
“But Rubio had arrived at one of the least ambitious moments in Senate history and saw many of his ideas fizzle”. But Rubio was aiming at people who didn’t know – people on the other side of a TV camera. And here’s the other point I would make. A lot of these votes won’t mean anything. Being a freshman senator is really bad – you have zero clout and have to suck up to institutional barnacles like Jeff Sessions and Lindsey Graham to get anything done.

After five years in the U.S. Senate, Marco Rubio does not like his job. I’ve been up, I’ve been down. And unlike all the rest, it’s surpassingly easy to imagine the Florida senator as the nominee. Kirk, who suffered a devastating stoke, missed fewer votes than Rubio.
“But if you heard the lyrics purely without understanding that, you may think that it’s glamorizing that lifestyle”. I mean that’s what it is. The nervous Republican star paused while delivering his party’s 2013 State of the Union response to awkwardly gulp down water.
2016 is very different: The GOP candidates are stronger overall, there’s no one with Romney’s hammerlock on money and endorsements, and Donald Trump and Ben Carson have more staying power than Michele Bachmann or Herman Cain.
GANGEL: So right now he’s not ready to be Commander in Chief?
The Sun Sentinel, basically comes out and tells Rubio to take this job and shove it, if he’s not going to be around to do it. Mr. Cruz enjoys support from hard-line conservatives, but surveys find him in fourth place, behind his Sunshine State rival. The odds are that is an issue Rubio will not have to worry about any time soon, since voters would like to see a little more “enthusiasm” and “energy” from its presidential candidates.
Rubio told CNN Sunday that he’s missed past votes because he’s campaigning, but the editorial board said that’s an insufficient excuse. “But I say, he’s not a failed president because he was young, articulate, or even because he was a senator”.
“Floridians have the reasonable expectation that Marco Rubio should show up to work, earn his pay of $14,500 each month, and do his job”, Grayson said.
It’s not fair to say Rubio never passed a bill, but it’s awfully close. Rubio denied he was being hypocritical because he called for delinquent federal workers to be fired.
“He wouldn’t be doing what he’s doing now if he were a quitter”, said Norman Braman, a Florida auto dealer and one of Rubio’s longtime donors: Washington Post.
RUBIO: Not true, not true. “If you hate your job, senator, follow the honorable lead of House Speaker John Boehner and resign it”. The most important thing that a Senator does is constituent services. So, when they’re not looking, we occasionally give a dose to the ones most morose. In terms of voting, the Senate is still tightly divided and every vote actually does count.
RUBIO: Of course, they’re important. I was just there this Tuesday.
Rubio referred to emails that surfaced during the hearing in which Clinton wrote that the attack was the planned work of an “Al-Queda-like group” and had “nothing to do with” an anti-Islamic video that had been posted on the Internet. Rubio’s a good guy. You are on the rise. Now they say, “Well, can’t do anything”. // So why is it taking you so long to get traction? That’s just campaign talk. That might force vulnerable Democrats to take votes that could be used against them. Four sitting members of Congress, including Grayson, and the state’s lieutenant governor are seeking the Democratic and Republican nominations to run for Rubio’s seat.

RUBIO: No, it’s – I don’t believe any of these things back and forth.
