Florida school district: Students must have permission to kneel during national anthem
One of the questions was about his feelings on Kaepernick’s National Anthem protest and if he would be taken the same course of action during the 2016-2017 NBA season.

San Francisco 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick continued his “protest” Monday night, refusing to stand during the national anthem before the NFL team’s opening game at home against the Los Angeles Rams.
Support for Colin Kaepernick’s protest shows just how big of an issue the United State’s racial injustice is, as athletes choose to protest in spite the consequences. “I’d rather have young people who are engaged in the argument and trying to think through how they can be part of our democratic process than people who are just sitting on the sidelines and not paying attention at all“.
Speaking to Complex Sports, the former first-round draft pick said we will “definitely” see a “few guys” in the league not stand during “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the game. “But, if anyone chooses not to, then that’s their Constitutional right and we can not discipline by law”, Binienda said.
I’m sure you’re paying attention to the Colin Kaepernick situation, protesting during the anthem, do you think that’s something that will transfer to the National Basketball Association? Players are always expressing their opinions and thoughts on serious issues happening around the country.
A Chesapeake bishop is calling on the NFL to institute a policy requiring players to stand when the national anthem is playing.
Students have a Constitutionally protected right to freedom of speech, even on school grounds, during school hours, though there are some exceptions, like agreed-upon dress codes.
The Colorado Buffaloes have yet to be on the field for a national anthem this season, and that probably won’t change this weekend when they play the Michigan Wolverines.
“[The NFL] can do what they want, they can say whatever they think and I respect their Constitutional right to do it”, Woods told TMZ when asked his opinions on the controversy.
Is this what America has come to, a nation of selfish individuals who do not care for their fellow Americans as long as they get theirs?

Other players have chosen to join Kaepernick in his protest and their gestures have ranged from kneeling, to linking arms with teammates, to raising fists during the song.
