“He’s accused of punching the young woman in the face”, said Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman.

State Attorney Willie Meggs said Friday he has not brought any charges against Cook at this time, but the matter is still being reviewed.

The woman, who spoke to ESPN on the condition she remain anonymous, said the men “kept telling me to Google them”.

The night prior to Cook’s alleged incident, June 24, Florida State quarterback De’Andre Johnson was caught on tape punching a woman a local bar.

Both men, she said claimed they were football players who could “buy her in a couple of years”. Later Friday, head coach Jimbo Fisher and president John Thrasher released statements about the recent arrests of Cook and Johnson.

Florida State’s Dalvin Cook rushed for 1,008 yards as a true freshman last season.

Florida State is a great university. Geohegan is 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, according to a police report.

“I found the women to be very credible”, Meggs told ESPN.

If Cook’s name is familiar in the Tallahassee crime beat it’s because he was one of the FSU football players implicated in the historic BB-Gun battle that became just one of many red flags for then quarterback Jameis Winston.

A police report acquired by the Tallahassee Democrat noted that officers arrived at the scene shortly before 2.30am on 23 June.

He was named in a 2014 aggravated assault case after two men he was with were alleged to have brandished a handgun at a neighbor.

Because the video doesn’t contain audio it’s not exactly clear what started the argument between the two, although the woman claims Johnson aggressively pushed past her while she was waiting for a drink at the bar.
