Floyd Mayweather Is “Bitter”, Says Amir Khan Ahead Of Las Vegas Fight

There have been performances when Khan, 29, wins so convincingly he looks among the world’s best, but they have been followed by others that make him look vulnerable.

Alvarez follows a generation of fine boxers including Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Julio Cesar Chavez and more, and upon his arrival at the MGM Grand on Tuesday was greeted by numerous fans wearing the red headband Chavez made famous but which was embossed with the name “Canelo”.

Amir Khan claims he wants to join Britain’s band of world champions because he’s feeling left out by their success.

Hunter, who got a big win with Andre Berto over Victor Ortiz in their rematch on Saturday, said he has Khan on point defensively for the assignment against Alvarez. And he says after watching some of that recent action in person, he felt he could have “done the business”.

“I feel comfortable at 154lbs”.

Khan’s last fight came against Chris Algieri, and he reportedly earned a $1 million purse for winning a unanimous decision on Spike in May 2015.

His powerful punching and aggressive style have proved a hit with fans and is expected to provide a stern test of Khan’s resilience this weekend.

“I didn’t cheat to get into the game, I served great apprenticeships under great coaches the world will never know”. And I can kick hard. I think Canelo’s making excuses so he doesn’t have to fight. We’re still going strong now in 2016: my family have been great, my team’s been fantastic, they’ve kept me on the right track.

Former longtime middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins of Alvarez’s promotional company, Golden Boy, told a story of how he needed to come down from the 160-pound middleweight limit and agreed to fight at 158 pounds to land a lucrative bout against the more popular Oscar De La Hoya.

He elaborated by saying, “I was at the last SFL show in Dubai, watching the guys in my weight closely”. He messed me around a lot so I wouldn’t take that fight. Trout, who was fresh off a breakthrough win over Cotto, was poised in the early going against Alvarez, in this battle of unbeaten fighters.

“I watched what he was eating and I don’t think he’s had any problem putting on the weight, I think it’s for the better for him”. This is speed vs. power.

Said Hopkins: “It’s not too premature to fight [Golovkin]. What does is skill, speed, power, intelligence and experience”. He freely admits that he is not going to be the heavier hitter in the ring Saturday night and has no plans to stand and slug with Alvarez. I’m not going to be thinking I’m stronger than Canelo.
