Mayweather recently stated he would be interested in making a fight between Broner and his British 140 lb fighter, Ashley Theophane, something that has potentially provoked the ire of Broner, who while admittedly a level above in class, could be seen to be suffering a little professional jealousy with regards to other fighters close to Mayweather. Back in October, after snatching up his fourth title against Khabib Allakhverdiev, Broner sent a message to the undefeated champion, clowning his fighter Ashley Theophane.

In an interview with Fight Hype posted on Monday (Nov. 9), Mayweather finally shared his thoughts on Broner.

Since Floyd Mayweather Jr. retired last September after his fight with the former world champion Andre Berto where he won by unanimous decision, speculations are starting to surface on whether or not boxing fans around the world will be seeing a rematch between two of the best boxers the sport has ever seen. “Instead of saying, “F**k The Money Team”, he needs to be thanking The Money Team”. He also noted that he has attempted to offer Broner advice in the past. “I ain’t go out and pick these mothaf*ckas…I don’t know these mother*ckas from Russian Federation, I never even heard of him”. “Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again?”
