With the Berto fight scheduled for September 12, Mayweather has been in camp in Las Vegas, even inviting his entire family to his compound to spend more time with them while preparing for the clash.

And experts and fans alike are already labeling Mayweather vs Berto a mismatch and chiding Floyd for choosing a presumably easy opponent. But if Mayweather had beaten Pacquiao five years ago, there’s no doubt that these same critics would’ve cried about Manny not being a real welterweight.
And the best part – Mayweather is still paying those gourmet prices.
TMZ Sports was able to get a hold of Berto, who is the former WBC & IBF World welterweight champion, but has lost three of his last six. Apparently, Berto believes Mayweather is holding a grudge over a woman, although he didn’t exactly elaborate on it.
“It’s a pleasure and honor to be in this position and I’m looking forward to capitalizing on every moment of it”, Berto told the website.
“There’s something to be said for going out on free TV on your last fight”, the source said.
Mayweather says he is way too smart for the Kazakh boxer after learning that he weighs more than 154 pounds, which is the catchweight limit making it impossible for a match, global Business Times reports.
Nowadays, Floyd Mayweather a “businessman” who seemingly finds absolutely no bliss in boxing.
The upcoming bout will be the 49th of Mayweather’s career, and he will be hoping to add to his tally of 48 victories.
Golovkin, on the other hand, just recently gotten out of a word war with a potential next opponent, Andre Ward, who claimed that the Golovkin can not last 12 rounds on a match with him on his weight division. The fight will be televised on CBS and not on boxing’s primary pay-per-view platform. On May 2 Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in a unanimous decision. Not so much because he’s great, but if he wants to fight Floyd, why doesn’t he come down to 147 pounds?

It was abundantly clear he fought Pacquiao for one thing – the ridiculous purse.
