With concerns over the flu epidemic increasing, some are wondering how to spot it, and if you’re sick, how to tell it apart from other potential problems.
At least seven people have died from the flu this season in Allen County, the county health department announced Thursday.
The most prevalent flu virus this season, a strain known as A (H3N2), is a nasty bug.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is calling this year’s flu season an epidemic, and data from West Michigan backs that up.

It is not, and this should not dissuade you from getting it. “Even with that possibility, it’s still the best protection and often, if someone who gets the shot comes down with the flu, their severity and the duration are usually less”. The doctor says a person who will develop flu can transmit it to other people a day before symptoms arise.
