The Flyers and Schenn will avoid an arbitration hearing which was set for Monday.
Schenn was acquired by the Flyers from the Los Angeles Kings on June 23, 2011 along with Wayne Simmonds and the Kings’ second-round pick in 2012 for Mike Richards and the rights to Rob Bordson. His brother, Luke Schenn, was a Flyer at the time, though he signed this summer with the Arizona Coyotes after a brief stint with the Kings.
In five seasons with the Flyers, Schenn has scored 84 goals and added 107 assists for 191 points in 345 games.
He was originally drafted by the Kings in the first round (5th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Schenn has the fourth highest cap hit on the team, with only Claude Giroux Jacob Voracek and Mark Streit earning more than him. The only RFA on their National Hockey League roster left to re-sign, according to General Fanager, is defenseman Brandon Manning, who made $625,000 last season.
