Laughton crashed hard into the boards behind the Washington net with 3:49 left in the first period after what appeared to be incidental contact with Capitals defenseman John Carlson.
He was “taken to Jefferson Hospital as a precaution”, as per the Official Flyers Twitter.
The Flyers tweeted that Laughton has been taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
