Flying Capes are Coming to Minecraft, Become a Hero
The cape will first appear in the game’s next PC update, and must be found rather than crafted.

If there’s one thing Jens Bergstrom (aka Jeb) loves to do, it’s tease Minecraft players with upcoming features. You’ll soon be able to glide and soar around in Adventure Mode, free like a bird, and with a good deal more grace than when flying in Creative Mode, which feels more like the classic “noclip” cheat than anything.
Bergensten has actually taken to Twitter to post a few gifs of the flying cape in action. It is apparently not craftable and must be found. It folds when you’re grounded and replaces any equipped capes. Instead, you’ll have to find them out in the world. “They are styled as the cape + new Mojang cape”. Well now that time has come as Minecraft will be getting flying capes.
With Minecraft’s PC port sales surpassing 20 million copies, the addition of magic capes will likely aid in the title moving even more units.

However, should the developers at Mojang keep on bringing fresh ideas to the table such as this one, Microsoft’s purchase of the studio for $2.5 billion will continue to be a fruitful decision.
