FO denies IS presence in Pakistan
Pakistan and India were engaged through diplomatic channels to fix the exact date for a comprehensive bilateral dialogue when their foreign secretaries would meet to help resolve “outstanding disputes peacefully and enhancing bilateral cooperation”, Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah said yesterday in response to a question. While the Indian list showed that there were 271 Pakistani prisoners, including 17 fishermen, in India, the Pakistani list stated that there were 460 prisoners from their country in Indian jails.

The spokesman said that both countries had serious issues that should be resolved through bilateral talks and the coming dialogue was very significant where all issues would be discussed.
“In the context of presence of Daesh in Pakistan, we have consistently made several points”. The country’s security agencies had been already alerted on the threat posed by it and the steps had been taken in this regard.
Interacting with media at the Wagah-Attari border checkpost, Dr. Raghavan said, “I am very happy that I am leaving at the end of my tenure when the atmosphere has transformed dramatically after the visit of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Lahore”. Pakistan had been successful in enhancing its role at the worldwide level.
Replying a question, he said that Pakistan had joined the 34 countries coalition against terrorism and the extent of our participation would be decided in the light of additional information that we had sought from Saudi Arabia.
